ReNEWed: fashion that
feels good twice

We're skipping Black Friday. CKS is taking a big step towards sustainability. During a team-building day, the entire CKS team dove into the distribution center to select items from previous collections, check them, and repair them where necessary.

The result?

• 529 items were given a place in our outlet channels.
• 120 items will be donated to De Kringwinkel
• 221 items are ready to be further refurbished by an expert.
• 52 exclusive reNEWed items will be available for purchase online on Friday, November 28, during Black Friday.
• The remaining 5,000 items of dead stock will be used in our Passiton initiatives in the coming years.
• We incorporate our learnings into the creation of our future collections, such as avoiding elastic bands for closures.

This is another step forward in our mission towards greater sustainability.

We started by tracking down and sorting all the defaults. This gave us an immediate clear
overview of which items we could still recover.

After sorting, we carefully examined each item to determine what kind of damage it had.
This way, we knew exactly what repairs were needed to make each piece look like new again.

We then set to work on all the necessary repairs, from minor to major alterations.
Each item was restored to the quality and feel you would expect from CKS.

In the final phase, all items were given a reNEWed label, after which they were carefully
packed in boxes to be sent to their final destination.

Nothing was lost: 52 reNEWed items are back online, 529 items have found a place in
our outlet in Ostend, and the rest will be donated to De Kringwinkel.

At CKS, we believe in fashion that lasts longer. That's why on Friday, November 28, we are offering our alteration and repair & care service especially for you free of charge* in all our stores. If you buy a new CKS item that day and the fit isn't quite right, we will provide a free* alteration on the same day.
