MARIE-ODILE DE BECK
My design symbolizes the journey from illness to recovery, inspired by the metaphor of a lighthouse in the mist. Caregivers are depicted as this lighthouse, guiding us out of the darkness.
ANJA LEGIEST
I started with a pitch-black ribbon, as that’s how life feels after a breast cancer diagnosis. Then, bright spots appear along my path in the form of family, friends, and caregivers who stand by your side, walking the journey with you.

The combination
of straight and organic lines represent the contrast you
feel when receiving a cancer diagnosis. Life goes
straight lines, but for you personally, everything stands momentarily
still.

Originally
the ribbon was blank, because living with cancer is the beginning of a
blank page. I then added ballpoint pens and hearts to give color
to give color to the moods during treatments and to the
long-awaited remission.
