After that, it's Amelia time. Then I pick her up from school and it's time to play, eat and do homework together. To compensate for the fact that I am often away, we try to enjoy our moments together extra. We regularly go do fun things with the two of us: girls night with face masks, pedicure swimming, amusement park....
In the evening, it's usually back to work. Either I work some more from the couch, or there's an event at the brewery that I need to oversee, or like today, I'm getting ready to go to a networking event.

Pamela (41 jaar), aka Pam, is Business Analyst & Project Manager Fashion, Retail & Omnichannel bij CRG, de groep boven CKS, jbc en Mayerline. Ze heeft mixed roots (Taiwanees/Belgisch), is mama van Vince (6 jaar) en Lea (3 jaar) én is reisverslaafd.

Omdat ik ver van huis werk en mijn man heel dichtbij werkt, is hij meestal degene die de kinderen naar school brengt en ben ik zelf iets vroeger weg. Behalve op donderdagen, dan is hij heel vroeg weg en is het vanaf het opstaan mijn mama ochtend. Ik begin die dagen vaak iets later met werken en gelukkig kan dat. Ze blijven al in de nabewaking, dus zet ik ze liever niet té vroeg af, zodat de dagen niet te lang worden voor hen.

Mijn job is heel gevarieerd en dat vind ik ook heel leuk. Ik werk heel graag op projectbasis omdat het heel afwisselend is, elk project is anders, vaak met verschillende collega’s en/of externen en elke keer een ander domein. Mijn werkdagen bestaan deels uit meetings en deels uit focusmomenten om dingen uit te werken.
Zowel mijn man als ik houden van gezellige avonden met vrienden, meestal bestaat
dat laatste uit samen iets eten of drinken. We proberen ook daar een goede balans te vinden waarbij we een paar (weekend) dagen of avonden per week samen met de kinderen iets doen, een paar avonden om beurt alleen op stap of thuis zijn. We lassen ook regelmatig een date night in, zodat we genoeg tijd als koppel hebben.

My work day starts with the Prep & Shine of the CKS shop in Turnhout! From vacuuming to steaming: I make sure the store looks neat uitziet,and am always curious about who is stops by for a new outfit.
One of my regular stops? In the morning or Afternoon a nice coffee as a takeaway or going for a drink on the most beautiful terrace in Turnhout at Pique-Nique. That's what I call enjoying a little happiness!
Forgetting everything for a while works best behind my sewing machines, you have to concentrate so hard not to make mistakes that there is no room for worries in my head. I have my own corner in my husband's studio, my happy place!
